Personally I prefer the Yahama NMAX 155 over the Honda counterpart the PCX. After riding one around Pattaya for a few months and these were my observations.

In any country around the world it would be pretty standard to report a stolen car to the Police, Thailand is no different but that is where the similarities end. Having never had a car stolen in another country I can only make logical assumptions and draw on reports from other people I know that have had cars stolen in other countries as to what would happen once reported to the Police. I would assume that once reported, the Police would use the resources at their disposal to track down the theft and track down the car.
